Terms of Service

By accessing or using the OXIDE platform ("Service"), operated by DEK KEY OÜ (Registry code 17506258) ("Company", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use OXIDE. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

We do not accept new sign-ups from Russia, Belarus, Iran, North Korea, Syria or Cuba (checked by the country of the IP address you sign up from), and we do not accept cards with a billing address in those countries. Existing account holders keep access to their account and balance.

Accounts are for individuals using the Service for personal purposes. You may not open or use an account on behalf of a company or other organisation, or for a business. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under the law that applies to you, including the statutory right to withdraw from an online purchase described in our Refund Policy.

OXIDE uses Steam OpenID for authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Steam account. We do not store your Steam credentials. Your OXIDE account is linked to your Steam ID and cannot be transferred.

Skin purchases are either facilitated through our partner marketplace network (the partner seller sends the item straight to your Steam account; OXIDE never holds it) or are community listings consigned by other users (marked COMMUNITY; the item is held by OXIDE in custody and we send it to you — see section 6). You pay in the currency you choose: a card top-up is charged in the currency you select and adds its US Dollar value to your wallet as credits (1 credit = US$1; see section 5). Prices are set in USD and can be displayed in another currency, converted at the rate shown. OXIDE acts as a facilitator — we do not own the items listed, including consigned items we hold in custody for their sellers. Trade delivery is subject to Steam trade hold policies. If a trade cannot be completed, the purchase amount is refunded to your OXIDE wallet automatically — no request needed (see the Cancellation Policy). If an expected refund has not reached your wallet, contact support and we will credit it.

The OXIDE wallet holds a prepaid balance in credits. One credit equals one US Dollar (1 credit = US$1): your balance is kept in USD, and top-ups, purchases and refunds to your wallet are all counted in this same unit. You can choose to have the balance and prices displayed in another currency, converted at the rate shown; this changes only the display, not the balance. Credits purchased by card top-up are used to buy items on the platform and are not redeemable for cash, except that unspent credits from a top-up are refundable to your card within 14 days of the top-up (see the Refund Policy). Separately, when you sell your own items through the platform (see "Selling your items & seller payouts"), the proceeds are added to your wallet as a withdrawable balance that you may pay out to yourself, subject to identity verification (KYC). Card top-ups (Visa and Mastercard) are processed by our PCI-DSS-compliant payment processor. Refunds for failed purchase transactions are credited back to your wallet automatically (see section 4).

Registered users may list their own in-game items for sale through the platform, which acts solely as an intermediary between seller and buyer. To list an item you send it to OXIDE's custody account by a Steam trade offer; it is listed once the deposit is received, OXIDE holds it on your behalf while it is listed, and when it sells we send it from custody to the buyer's Steam account. When your listed item sells, you receive the sale price less a platform commission of 10%, credited to your wallet as a withdrawable balance. To withdraw funds you must complete identity verification (KYC): your full legal name, a valid government-issued identity document (e.g. passport), your residential address, and your payout details (bank card or bank account). Withdrawal requests are reviewed and must be approved before any payout is released. We may request additional documents and may refuse, suspend or reverse a payout where verification is incomplete or where we reasonably suspect fraud, money laundering, or a breach of these Terms. Payouts are made only to the verified account holder.

You may not: use the Service for money laundering or fraud; attempt to manipulate prices; create multiple accounts; use automated bots to interact with the Service; or engage in any activity that violates applicable law.

All OXIDE branding, design, and code are owned by DEK KEY OÜ. Rust is a trademark of Facepunch Studios. Steam and the Steam logo are trademarks of Valve Corporation. OXIDE is not affiliated with or endorsed by Valve Corporation or Facepunch Studios.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, OXIDE's liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid to OXIDE in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be posted on the Service and reflected in the “last updated” date at least 14 days before taking effect; where we hold your email address we will also notify you.

These terms are governed by the laws of Estonia. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Estonia, subject to any mandatory consumer protection laws of your jurisdiction.
